Clock Delete Plate 911R - ID
Are there any clock delete plate experts out there? I have an opportunity to obtain a NOS plate and have not been able to trace down the PN. The P/N that I have been given is 911 552 Z15 00. The Z really throws me and I guess it could be a 2, but really looks like a Z. If anyone is knowledgeable on this subject, could you please PM me so I can get educated. Thanks.

I don't know if it was made for a 911R, but I have a plastic Porsche Cover plate that fits the clock opening. Still in the bag with a number 911-552-205-00

Howabout putting a 6-way cylinder head sensor in there? Or are you going for originality? I love my analog switchable Westech one.

Scott,
+1 with Jim on the part number although when I bought the clock blank(Deckel Cover) it was about 15 years ago. I don't know if there was one specific to the 911 R. HTH Cheers, Dennis.:) |
Dave, here are the photos that I promised. PM or email me scott7515@hotmail.com with what you think. Thanks.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1192888174.jpg

The lamp is based on a pre 70 converted clock housing. Several guys have done this themselves when needing a large indicator lamp.
The plastic plug displayed is real- check out the pebbly grain on the surface. The reproductions don't have this |
If anyone else sources a suitable plate, I'd be interested as well.
Scott, is that a Vic Elford autographed plaque? Pretty neat! |
