The King is Dead Long Live the King!
Well I took delivery today of the car that will be replacing my '84.
A low mileage '88 Factory slant. All original condition. The look has already grown on me. I wasn't a fan at first but in person this is one beautiful car. Twobone gets the Kiln Red car and I hope he is happy. I know I was. Tough to see any of these cars go. ![]() ![]() ![]() This is one clean car but there is still a lot of clean up and detail work to do. I'll keep you all posted ![]()

Although I like the standard front better, there is no getting around that this is a very nice looking car and a Turbo at that. But, will you dare using it - piling up miles and risking door dings ?

![]() Nice addition, Kilo. Most of the slant noses I've seen are red, white or black and they never did anything for me. Now, the color of your's looks great. I am envious.

Hey Kilodawg, beside the great cars, what did you use for your garage floor? Is that an epoxy or paint?
I am looking for a very durable floor covering material that allows easy clean up of spilled fluids and wont chip when something heavy drops on it. I have tried epoxy. I have tried epoxy paints and even if the coat is thick to eliminate the porousness of the cement, it chips and gouges when something falls on it. Maybe synthetic tile is the answer?? Sorry to go on here, just looking for any input as I drool at your cars AND your sweet floor w/ drip cloths!! Bob

First off none of my 911's leak except the '73 and those leaks are being addressed right now. The '84 never leaked a drop. I'm told that the turbo will put a drop down now and then. The drip cloths have been great with the '73 and have all but eliminated the need for cleanup.
The garage floor was a Sherwin Williams product that I had professionally applied. It's an expoxy based finish. Time will tell on it's durability. The garage is still pretty spartan but I'm working on that. Trader 220 the color is Nougat Brown Metallic. None of these indoor shots do it justice. From doing a little searching I could only find two or three other Pelicans who have the same color. I believe it was '87 and '88 only. Here is the pic that twobone has been waiting for: ![]() Off to the great white north.....and one more space in the garage.
