"racing oil" ?
The PO of my 'new' 89 used Valvoline VR1 20/50 Racing Oil, says that his mechanic suggested it. Is there something different here that make this 'racing oil' substantially any different than other normal Valvoline 20/50 motor oil?
thx |

Hi Todd:
Great input,....... ![]() After you read all the information in the above links, I'd kindly suggest that you do not use Valvoline VR1 anymore.

I used Valvoline 20/50 Racing for many years and without problem.
When VR1 appeared I realised that there were obvioulsy changes which worried me and made me change. I have been using Joe Gibbs 15/50 for the last year. |
