Does anyone have a diagram of the two caps on the 964 dual distributors?

Thx

What exactly do you need? A dimensional drawing or something from the parts catalogue or other?

Cheers

Really just a diagram of the 6 wires on each cap -- I want to mark the #1 wire on each; the #2, etc.

-- thought there might be a nice diagram in a repair manual or someplace so I don't have to take 1/2 hour to draw one up...

Hmmm searching the factory manual and all I have found is a diagram that shows the rotors pointing to #1......

Cheers

Thanks - it is not in the PET (except as highly exploded parts) either.

something like that -- what does I, II mean?

i.e. which is the one with the shaft thru it and which is the aux. one driven by the belt?

I think that is how they are on the car. "I" is to the left and "II" is to the right (as viewed standing facing the fan) at least that is corresponds to what the manual shows for rotor placement at #1.

Cheers

Yes, II would be directly above the distributor gear with I to the left of it. This sticker is on the 1992 964 motor I picked up this weekend to install into my 81' SC.
