Car was running fine, put gas in it now barely runs

1982 911SC was running fairly well, I put about 3-4 gallons of 89 octane gas that I had had in a clean can with Stabil fuel stabilizer in it. It is about 3-4 months old. Now car starts hard and runs very rough.
I did have the gas tank loose and had jacked it up a few times working on wiring. Maybe I churned up some junk that was in the bottom of the tank.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What type of stabil was used? if the gas was ethanol and you used the red stabil there in lies the problem. Drain the gas and use good gas.

I believe that is the exact combination. I believe our state is 9-10% Ethanol and I had used Stabil red. Do you think it would make that much of a dramatic difference?

Thanks

Change the fuel filter as well.

Red Stabil is fine for Ethanol gas, I've used it for years.

I would also start with the fuel filter and some fresh gas.
