Hand throttle disconnected in 1973.5 CIS 911
Hi. I have a little problem in my 1973 911 with CIS. The hand throttle handle moves normally, but there is nothing connecting it to the throttle actuating rod to the left of the handle in the tunnel so it does nothing. Was there originally a plastic part, long ago disintegrated, connecting the handle mechanism to the actuating rod? Is there a replacement part or other fix for this problem? Thanks for your info!

If you pull on the cable with pliers does that function? Is the lever hooked to the cable? It could be disingaged at the engine, also. Or the cable could be broken.

There is indeed a plastic piece that attaches to the throttle lever in the tunnel.
Do a search here or go to the parts section and see the diagram/description.
