John, no problem, I'm not upset...just trying to engage in dialogue with alternative opinions. Good point that the lip itself may not be bending, but the body panel it attaches to.... may be.

Yeah, I wish I could shift my transmission that fast. Sounded like pretty quick shifts, you think a short shift kit could be aiding in that?

Short shifters do not speed up shifting, they just shorten the throw.

Here are a few pictures of car#19 at a zone 1 concours in New York. According to the back of my pictures they were taken in '91. This is the rally car that was brought over to Connecticut from Bahrain. Excellence magazine did an article on this particular car back in April 1993 (at least I think that's the issue, I'll have to check). The car was completely restored back to original specification. Although I was probably 18 years old at the time the car was going through its restoration, I do remember quite a bit about the car. I did alot of the not so fussy work on the car during the disassembly and I was always around to see how Mike (the owner) reassembled it. Auto Associates of Canton, Connecticut did an outstanding job bringing the body back to concours condition. Reassembly was done by the owner. I heard the car is now somewhere out west. It sure would be great to see that car again. I can remember Mike slapping a license plate from his other white 911 onto the SCRS and driving it around town. It really sounded great!
