please tell me someone is making G50 tranny mount
because I cannot shift into second anymore with the turbo. Normal driving = normal shifting, Boost = no quick shift to second
I have the WEVO g50 shifter at the moment. I'd hate to TRY to locate a NOS mount only to have the same problem. |

Not that I have found. I've suggested to Wevo (Hayden) to make a G50 replacement bracket that accepts their semi solid mounts so they can be replaced like 915 tranny mounts. Nothing but silence on the end of that suggestion. I assume the G50 aftermarket is pretty small for such a project.
I've been keeping my eye open for a used one to show up so I could try to make one myself.

If I get a used one to alter, I'd just use my own. Thanks for the help though

If the others pass, I'll take it. I have a local shop interested in
using this to see if we can create some firmer replacement bushings, and to make them or the process/parts list available.

If you want to let that beam to come to Windrush we can use it to develop a G50 solution with our existing WEVO SS engine mount parts.
It is a small market, but probably not much smaller than the 901 / 930 market that we have already developed specific solutions for. I believe we will be able to adapt the fabrication fixture for those designs - based on the same chassis mount spacing. I would be happy to buy it and make it #1 in the exchange pool. Hayden, I will be happy to donate the beam to Windrush for the development of this product if you are willing to pay the shipping.
Send me your e-mail so we can finalize the details. Justin jwerion@aol.com

Nice!
NOte how quickly the internet facilitates interaction between a manf. and an end user! Too bad the 356 guys didn't have this in the 1950s.

Justin,
Many thanks, I suspect I can also thank you some on behalf of the '87 - '89 G50 owners who have been calling for the option. you can email me on hayden@wevo.com I am in Australia at present, so I will need to have Tracey coordinate the freight. We will deal with it however it suits you. Regards Hayden |

We have received the beams from Justin and designed some proto inserts that will be welded into the stripped down G50 beam.
I have not received the proto components and they are not highly prioritized, but I do expect them to arrive and be assembled before the end of January. Hayden |
