M&K R muffler on bumper impact cars
Has anyone mounted one? I would very much like to see a pic... I can't make up my mind between the Sport and the R style.
Thanks |

Thank you Ben.
In your website, you mention that it would be feasable with "some work". How difficult would it be? The sport style is a "bolt on" mount on a impact bumper (no need to modufy the rear valance) is that correct ? Finally, is there a diff in sound and in perf between the Sport and the R? Thank you very much |

The 911R is the loudest muffler we make so it would be my last option if it were me choosing. It is more for the folks looking for that specific look. The sport muffler fits very well. Infact porscheguy79 has one on his SC. But back to the R muffler you would have to remove the bumper overiders at very least

1100Sport, I'm in the process of installing a 'sport' muffler from M&K. Yes the bumper guards need to be removed but I wanted them gone anyway, clunky looking to me. The hardest part of the whole project is removing the old muffler and such. If you have access to a torch that is fairly easy. Removing the bodywork is pretty straight forward, bumper, valence, and such. If you remove the bumper guards the 4 holes need to be filled. I'm using epoxy for this, (just did it today), then repainted. New license plate lights also need to be installed. The valence just needs cut where the pipes will come out. I've taken some pics and will post when all is done.
btw... Do a search on the rear bumper, there are some great looking arses out there, lol. One more thing, if I can do this ANYONE can!!!!! (it's been a fun project so far, knock on wood)

In fact I do, its not the greatest but its the only one I could find with the muffler on.
Also, I opted not to use the rear valance but others have cut them to fit. ![]()
