JM Cup Holder

Can someone report on the usage of this product? Looks cool but I'm concerned about 2 things off the top of my head: 1] breaking/damaging the cig lighter receptacle; 2] looks like it would be prone to bouncing

thanks

I thought the door pockets were the cupholders? they seem to do the trick just fine. That looks like it cold cause the lighter to become loose. I mean a cup of beverage is pretty heavy

Used the door pockets a cup holders in my 'old' car which had semi broken pockets and a dark interior. The new car has a light color interior and fully intact pockets which I don't want to ram a cup down into Therefore the aftermarket cup holder search

I've got one. I've been using it for almost 2 years with no problems. Perfect for the coffee cup or 12 oz soda can. But I don't recommend it for those uber big fast food half gallon drinks. They are little too top heavy. (Ask me how I know).

It's also a little bit of pain for tall passengers, but you can swing it out of the way or just take it out easily enough.

I put 2 lbs. of ballast in a cup and drove for several weeks with no incident of any thing bending or pulling loose. A little bounce if driving on a rough road but always use covered containers to avoid spills. The one in the picture is my car and that cup holder has been in for over 2 years without a single problem and I haven't had to clean my door pockets once because of spills.

This additional model is offered for the rally racers.

I've had mine for about 2 years also, it's works perfectly. I never noticed it moving out of the cig socket. As far as I'm concerned, it's a well thought out design

I guess being pluged into the cig lighter; it would keep your coffee hot.

I chopped the guys out ot the heater control box between the seats. It's so origional looking you would think it's the part that Porsche forgot, plus I don't think the heater control box has worked for a number of decades.

I had one... it worked great! You have to be careful regardless of the cup holder device when you're driving anyhow.
