MFI cold start solenoid wiring

Hello
i've disconnected the cold start solenoid on the top of the fuel filter assembly
but it's rather hard to start the engin when cold.... (MFI 2.7RS)

tried to reconnect, but i'm not sure it works fine

would you tell me the wiring, or show your setup with a switch i would press from the inside ?
thanks
Philippe

The cold start solenoid is powered thru the center fuse on the rear relay panel. In turn, that power goes thru another component on the engine itself which, when hot, interrupts the circuit. The circuit is active only when the key is turned to "start.". All you have to do is run a circuit to a button in the cabin from a fused hot source. You can bypass the thermal device. The ground wire is OK as is. You have to have fuel pressure to get the spray. You get that in the first "on " key position. Sorry, I don't have a diagram, but I'm sure there's one in the archives.

I don't know why people mess with these. A better way, IMHO, is to provide a "kill" switch to interrupt the circuit when you DON"T want the spray. I used to just pull the fuse; otherwise it was all operational.
