Lift reduction graph?
Hello,
I saw a tail comparison lift reduction graph somewhere, either here or on Rennlist. I had speed as X, and lift reduction as Y, and had a turbo, Carrera, and duck plotted. Anybody know what I am talking about? Thanks Scott |

Yup. It's in the book by Paul Frere called "Porsche 911 Story". I have the book but have loaned it out to a friend so I can't post the graph for you right now.

This it? Separate graphs for front and rear lift.

So, at 90 mph the air is taking 50 lb. off the front and 100 lb. off the rear of a car with no spoilers. I guess that, for a street-driven car, I fail to see the problem. I'll take my classic 911 design with 'spoiler delete' please!

Search back 6 months (give or take) for threads by Jack Olsen. Lots of info and graphs.

There was a Pano article with some additional graphs - it was collected in the UpFixin series.
Remember, sidewinds are critical b/c the Cp # Cg on these cars. |
