Winter storage -- battery tender
I'm interested in getting a battery tender/maintainer for winter storage. I'm thinking about the Schumacher Mity Mite (1.5 amp, 12 volt). Has anyone used this? Any other recommendations?
Thanks, Rob

Schumacher's are great, I've used them for a long time (10+ years), I always have at least car constantly plugged into one and have never had a problem. Keeping a battery tended makes it last a long time. I routinely get 9 or 10 years out of a battery.

How about a quick dico on the battery. I have a car that I only drive once a month ... I just disconnect the battery every time I drive it. Has worked well for years.

I leave my battery and tender hooked up year round. If I do not plan to drive my 911 for a few days...I plug it in. It works great.

I have at least 5 of them and a battery tender for years. The only difference between the two is cost IMO. I've used them on all my motocycles, cars, lawn tractor, etc. I never had an issue.
