Aftermarket cat- gut to make cat bypass?
When I bought this '86, it had an aftermarket cat pipe with one of those universal type cats. I've since found an OE cat should I ever need to run through emissions.
My original thought was to find a cat bypass pipe for now while I decide on what headers and exhaust to run with. But I'm now thinking why waste the $$, just gut the aftermarket cat. Thoughts? Otherwise I'd be happy to trade the cat pipe for a cat bypass.
