3.6 Conversion Suspension Question
I just put a 3.6 in my dual purpose (track/street) 1982 911. I do about 8 track days a year and some weekend driving.
For those of you that have a 3.6 conversion, can you tell me what suspension set up you have and how you like it? My car currently has bilstein sport shocks all around with 22 and 29 torsion bars. I have purchases a set of sport rear coil over shocks to help the 29 mm torsion bars with the extra weight of the 3.6. It has been suggested to me to run a 150 # coil over spring with the 29mm TBs. Your suggestion and experience are appreciated, dan

Dan, I think your setup will be fine unless you plan to race the car. DE's and weekends should be fine. I have an 86 with a 3.6, I run 23/30 tb's, no issues. BTW I think the 3.6 if anything may be lighter than your 3.0, it was lighter than my 3.2.
