Joe, it goes under the gearbox, not over it, I would think you could just remove the port heat exchanger. Don't take any shortcuts with the nuts-- heat them until they glow cherry red with an oxy-acteylene torch and remove with a 13mm swivel socket. (or 12mm if someone has used those nuts).

Where did you get those rubber coated clamps? Also did you just use sheetmetal screws to attache the clamps to the car? |

Actually, I mean a 13mm "swivel socket" which isn't in everyone's toolbox- this is for the hex nuts on the HEs. The other tool you need removes the barrel nuts, a conventional socket won't fit. I definitely recommend using the HE removal tool on the barrel nuts.
