ERG light
Need the voice of experience on this. I have a 1976 911, powered by a 1983 SC engine. I'm a happy camper. The car runs great and a recent smog test here in California passed without issues. However, recently my ERG light on the dash came on and now I'd like to know how to turn it off. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Thanks, John (30 yrs of driving 911's and this is my first post).

Disconnect the battery for a few seconds. I had a issue a few years ago with the dash and don't remember what it was. But after I did that it cleared. Good luck

IIRC, there's a small black box behind the speedo with a reset button on it which turns the EGR light on every 30,000 miles.
If you have the smog equipment, there might be some service task associated with this interval.
