Flywheel lock, FIT 2.7????
Anyone know if the flywheel locks that you can order will fit a 2.7, or would I be wasting my time?

I used a flat piece of bar stock drilled a hole large enough for the tranmission stud. Then a hole the same size as one on the clutch mounting screws. this worked great.
hope it helps. Worked on both the 2.7 and 3.0 liter motors. Skip 77 911 3.0 |

Shawn,
The problem with the flywheel locks is not the size of the engine, but the fact that they are only intended to work with those Porsche-designed engine stands that run over US$300! Angle iron, bar stock, or even a double-box-end wrench can be bolted to a pressure-plate bolt hole on the flywheel and one of the engine studs with large washers! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |
