The Paisley Porsche Lives!!

I've posted a couple of photos in the past from "Carrera RS" on the special Michael Piech 1972 911 2.7S. I've always wondered what ever became of it. Well, the August 911 & P-World has the answer. It's part of the unbelievable Ottocar Jakobs collection (at one time he owned 9 73 Carrera RS's!). Note the day-glo red paint and the body-colored Durant mirror, headlight trim rings, horn-grill fog lights, and wheels. It also appears to have a cutout S spoiler for an oil cooler. I wonder what it would go for at auction???

Curt, The cutout in the front spoiler isn't.It is the license plate frame, without the plate
That guy has one of the most amazing collection there is. When Vasek Polak folded, he flew in and had a field day...

Thanks for the info Curt...Hmmm, I wonder if Evren should do this interior trick, or something similar, once he gets his car to Istanbul...

I thought that might be the plate holder, but the closer I looked the more it looked like a cut-out!

Paul, I'll bet they sourced that material not far from Evren's house!

One other interesting note on this car: the "day-glo red" paint was to be the exclusive and only color of all 73 Carrera RS's. But German law prohibited its use on private vehicles at the time.
