Question about a Talbot mirror on my '74
Specifically, were the Talbot mirrors used on the ROW '74 911?
Thanks. SmileWavy |
According to Morgan's book the UK '74 911 had the round Durant mirror. The US models, and possibly everyone else, had the rectangle mirror.
How do you like the look of the Talbot mirror? |
Does anybody have pictures of one installed?

I found a guy selling some black talbot mirrors a couple months ago on ebay. I almost bit but I realized I wanted to take my car back to the original chrome look.

Talbot mirrors were a dealer installed option, but not as late as '74. I'm sure they didn't meet DOT area requirements. I think this was why the rectangular mirror was introduced in '73. I have a Talbot Junior on my '70E. They are very nice, and very high quality, but very small.

interchange ability between talbot and small flag mirror
Good afternoon everyone,
I'm resurrecting an old thread here. Can I simply swap the Talbot junior with my factory small mirror on my 74? Thanks David |
Anyone with a Talbot junior on their car?

Didn't get that many pictures when I had a fake greendot on as a test.

Are the mounting holes the same placement? Any sheet metal work necessary
Thanks David |
It looks like the Talbot mount spacing is 10mm narrower (30mm) than my early small flag. I purchased a cheap mirror to experiment with
Thanks David |
