The article is kind of a puff piece; it offers no real criticisms of the package. TPC aims low -- only 100 hp or so added, compared to much bigger leaps sought by the guys at Supercharging of Knoxville -- and that's how they justify not cracking the engine open to modify the pistons for a lower compression ratio.
I'd love to see a more forthright evaluation of this application. When supercharging doesn't work, it really doesn't work. Engines blow up. But if these guys are able to get it right, I think there's a huge potential market for 300-400 hp packages for 3.6s and 3.2s. ------------------ Jack Olsen 1973 911 T (3.6) sunroof coupe jackolsen@mediaone.net |
