It's a nut price and some of the details are rather poor and don't speak to a good restoration.......but there is no problem with a silver metallic color. I will even hazard a guess and say paint code 936/S7. Where did you get the idea it's a problem?

This car has been for sale for some time. In fact, it was for sale when I started looking for a 911. That was 2 years ago. Not sure why the car has been for sale that long though. Could be several reasons - priced too high (I think it was listed for $25k at one time), shoddy workmanship, etc. If I remember correctly, it was a nice looking car, but not for the money the seller was asking.

Even the non-Euro Carreras are fetching high dollars these days...but not one with a poor restoration. And yes, the did have metallic colors on the '74-75 US Carreras. Check out the picture under the engine...it still has the dreaded thermal reactors! *shudder*

"'74-75 US Carreras"

- eh? you mean the US cars in '74-'75? or ROW cars, or what? No such thing as '74-75 US Carreras.

I never said it was a RoW (or euro). Or are you saying the one that had been for sale was a RoW? This one is in GA, where I looked many times since it is relatively close to where I live. Am I thinking of a different car?

The ROW car has the RS motor in it and is worth quite a bit more than the standard US car. The car featured here while possibly collectible has all the issues of a mid-die.

There currently resides on the pelican marketplace a very sweet US model re-built w/ a 73RS motor that is in Ga. I believe the owner wants $50k. There is also an RS motor on ebay for $26k and a similar US carrera for $16k. This particular car appears to be a bit on the pricey side.
