oil tank in front smugglers box

Does anyone have their oil tank in the front.
I saw at www.smart-racing.com that they build one, and wanted to know... is there any draw backs to doing this? Oil feed line size problems? Can the pump pull enough suction? So if you've done it, I would like to hear about it.

Thanks

I don't have one but several of the local hard core racers do, they seem to be quite happy with the setup. The drawbacks are you loose the trunk, this is pretty much a race only mod and it is expensive(unless you have an all out race car it is not necessary). Use -16 Aeroquip, and there will be no problems as long as the bigger 930-993 pumps are used. The advantage of course is improved weight distribution. Another option is to use the 964/993 oil tank just ahead of the engine, this is a very straightforward mod as long as all of the parts are available from a donor car.
