Question 78-89 Targa w/Turbo Tail - Pictures Please

I know most of you do not like the Turbo Tail on non-turbo flared cars, especially on Targa's, but I would really like to see pictures from all angles to make the decision myself.

The carrera Tail does not impress me.

Here is the car in question:

Thanks to you all for your time and always helping me thru various projects thru the many posts and also for our Host for this incredible website.

Best regards,

That tail is too big for the Targa IMHO. Its makes the ass look heavy on SC flared cars, turbo flares are better for that tail. I think this is why we see more Carrera tails and Ducks on the Targas. If I may:

I think your car would look like hot-**** with a duck-tail and blacked out Fuch centers. / blacked webs. With the tinted windows those wheels look really really bright, I would darken them up a bit.

+1 for the duck tail! I agree that the tail looks out of place on a Targa, but it's your car...

the problem with pictures is pictures don't fully convey the bulkiness of the tail on the SC/Carrera bodied cars. IMO it looks much worse in real life.

Personally, I like the Turbo tail in the SC flared car..... but only with a wide tire on the back, (like a 245 on some 9's). If you do it with stock size tires and wheels, it does look a bit odd. Of course I'm putting a 53" IROC tail on my SC flared car so my opinion might not mean much

BTW, I do like the duck tail on Targa's. I think it helps smooth out the ugly roof line that Targa's have (just my opinion)

I think it's grand prix white with what is referred to as 'lipstick red' interior. If you tell me where to locate the colour code I can find out for you.
