"Passivated glass" windshields on 911SC?

I've just become the new owner of a 1980 911SC (84 engine, lowered, etc.) and am getting it ready for a good deal of highway driving.

One thing that I'm needing to do is get a CB antenna that has a "through glass" setup. I've heard that the glass on these cars might be "passivated" meaning that the signal will not pass through it.

Anybody know anything about this?

Just get a Valentine One and forget the CB.

I believe passivation is a newer technology that shouldn't affect these cars. You can take it to a 2-way or cellular shop and ask them to test your glass with a capacitance meter.
