993 Turbo Tail on narrow Body 1997 C2

Hello,
I would like to ask some of the Porsche owners if a 993 TT whale tail looks presentable on a narrow body Porsche? What are the cons.

Thanks

I saw one at my friend's shop and it looked okay.

I was just mulling this question the other day. I've always liked the 993 Turbo Tail seems it might be a little much on a narrow body of our vintage but I'd like to see a picture. Certainly better than a standard whale tail.

The RS tail looks perfect for the narrow body cars.

I agree it looks awesome ! I guess where I'm heading with this post is whether it will appear to wide looking on the 1997 narrow body 993 C2.

Hey Big Dawg Bill,
I'm sure we understood your question. The pic of the black 993 above is a narrow body and the tail looks fine!
Go for it, you'll love it.

And BTW, Welcome.
Newbies must post pics of their cars........ please!!!!!!!!

You are absolutely correct Noah.
I am considering purschasing a PSS9 Kit or Bilstein HD shocks for all four corners with the eibach pro spring kit. Notwithstanding your accurate representation of "All show and no go" I like the look of the Turbo tail and was asking opinions before purchasing one.
I was concerned about the TT whale tail looking too large on the narrow body Porsche.

Regards, Bill

You can do some things in that tail......without an intercooler.....

It's not just wasted tail.

Muhahahaha!

993's have the best looking non-Turbo flares of all. They have nice hips. Suitable for a heavier tail, if that is what you want.

993's wide or narrow, don't need a tail to look good. My opine is the turbo tail may be slightly heavy looking on a narrow car. A 993 without tail looks like a nicely shaved ******* to me.

The whale tail on the Mark Wison's black Carrera looks absolutely awesome. Eventhough there are some people that may feel it may be a little large. Part of the fun of owning a Porsche is reflecting personal preferences !

The one with the tail isn't mine. The silver C4S above is in my garage.

Tail or No Tail.

Might just be habit, but I'd always go with Tail.

Porsche made "Turbo Look" cars for a reason; nothing wrong with it in my opinion.
Of course Marks 'clean shaven' C4S is a beauty and he does have a good analogy?

I agree with Superman....... do what you want; express your character!
Strap on that tail.

My '74 has an '88 Turbo Look; I like it and the tail DOES provide added air cooling.
