Weld roll bar brackets with Engine in?

Hi,

I have a full set of suspension bits sitting in customs waiting to be delivered.....only taken 6 weeks! and one of the jobs is to weld the replacement roll bar brackets onto the tub....but can this be done with the engine in. It would be nice not to have to lug the thing back out again. Also what is recommended MIG, TIG or arch.

Need to get this done so that I can use the birthday present of an advanced drive day with "Rick Bates" (Australian rally and road race hero).

Thanks

Mark.....

Garage
if the roll bar is mounted in the interior, then installation of the motor/ trans is not necessary
Mig is a pretty popular and works well

OK......the language difference got me then......sway bars=roll bars/anti-roll bars.

I had to think then since installing them in the interior may not assist too much!

Thanks

Make sure the area is properly cleaned, protect wires and fuel hoses or pump near by on the passenger side and you can do it with engine in, Mig would be my weapon of choice.

Yes, you can install them with the engine in. I replaced mine a few months ago with the Wevo brackets after I broke the originals twice.

Great.....as soon as the bits clear customs I will get right into it! Any other helpful tips, other than the good ones above.

Thanks
