spacers for an SC help!!!!!

I bought a set of OEM Cup1 wheels for my c2 conversion. The seller said I needed a pair of 1" spacers and a pair of 1.5" spacers...

Now, my big question is....can I get away with 1" spacers all the wa around...I really need to know asap as I found a set of all four for $100. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Rob

You will need 1 inch front and at least 2 inch rear spacers.
For $100.00 use one set and sell the other. Beware that you may need to swap out your studs for longer ones if going with more than a 2 inch spacer. Some aftermarket spacers have new studs to solve this issue. Hope this helps.

I had Cup 1's on my 84 w/ 1" spacers (all around), no problems. Not an SC, so I'm not sure.

I was also able to use the 6 & 7 x 16 Fuchs (not sure the offsets) and the 6 & 8 x 16 C2 5-spokes the spacers were bought for. FWIW.

You can always stack spacers if you need to. Its frowned upon i think but if there hubcentric they shouldnt be a problem. Iv got stacked spacers on my rear and its been like that since the 80's with no problems knock on wood

Huh?

On my SC, 1/4" spacers are too much for the front. In fact, some 205 tires rub no matter what (in a full lock turn).

On the rear, I am using 21mm spacers (less than one inch) and I had to roll the left fender. 2" spacers would NEVER fit my rear and 1" spacers would NEVER fit my front.

how will 2" spacers work in the rear if the stock lugs come out 2 1/4"'s, wont the bolts come out 1/4th of an inch out of the 2" spacer?

now I am really confused

Mna, oh man...what to do...I have literally heard different apps from everyone I have asked...on the BBS or not...my car is bone stock suspension-wise...just a regular SC and these are 16" cups...not 17" or anything esle....

someone has had to have fitted 'em before right? Maybe not...wanna buy a set of beautiful Cups (lol)

Thanks for all the help thus far, really.

The thickness of the spacer is only part of the math, you need to know the puck thickness on the rim "AKA" offset.

Believe me I had several trial and errors before I found a good match, that is why I now have a set for sale

I had 16" cups on my SC when I bought it. 7" front and 9" rear. 54mm offset (I think). P.O. put them on.

21mm spacer on each front and double 21mm spacers on each rear. All hubcentric. (1 inch is 24.5mm).

To put the 6 and 7 x 16" Fuchs on all I had to do was take off one of the rear 21mm spacers on each side. The Fuchs now fill out the wheel opening better than without the spacers. Left the front spacers on and one of the rear spacers.
