Where to buy Millie Miglia C/2 wheels
I'm pretty sure I want to update my 89 911 Carerra with the Millie Miglia C/2 look. I don't race at all, at least not yet. I will probably keep my original equipment for a while though. Where is the best place to buy them. I've checked at tirerack.com and there $229. Can they be found at a cheaper price or is there a different place I should buy for various reasons. What about tires for the 7.5's and 9's X 17". I don't want any rubbing in the fender wells any suggestion on sizes that work well on the 89 911. Thanks for any attention you give this article and I've read the previous post already.

I got a quote from Wheel Enhancement for $1000 for a set of rims only for the c2Turbo repros. I am not sure if those are Mille's or not.

As far as I know the cup replica wheels are being made 2 places. The Mille Miglias in Italy and some other brand (cheap) in Indonesia. Go for the italian ones.

I bought my C2 replicas from WheelEnhancement and they were the Millie Miglias. Don't think the $1000 covered center caps. Wheel Enhancement was a touch more expensive but those guys helped me out a lot - know a lot about wheels/Porsches - and don't jerk you around. Well worth the few extra bucks for me.

I switched over to the 7.5 and 9 inch Mille Miglia set-up over a year ago on my '84 Carrera, along with much stiffer torsion bars, etc. This combination should fit your model without a problem. I would only suggest you be selective with tires. Some stick out significantly more than others and WILL rub both front and rear. I know from experience. The Bridgestone RE-71's did this frequently. However, the successor RE-730 sidewalls that I recently put on the car are shaped more like the SO-2's and have not rubbed once in the past two months. Additionally, you may want to consider ride height and camber after installing the new wheels if for some reason they do rub a bit. Of course, fender rolling is always a final option. I will say that I absolutely love the look. Much more aggressive than my Fuchs. Fuchs are now my track wheels, for weight, strength, and convenience reasons.

Forgot to mention that these were the 17" Cup 2 wheels, with 205 and 255 tires. As previously mentioned, don't forget to order the center caps. They do not come with the wheels. Tirerack sells them for a very reasonable price.

Great responses guys. Now I think I want to offer this question. Given the choice what looks the hottest on the 89 911 the C/2 Turbo or the Turbo Twist. Let me know soon I'm ready to place my order.
