Thoughts on these heads...

First let me say that I know nothing about rebuilding 911 motors. handy in other ways, but never tackled a motor. But I know folks who can help.

I've got my E down it's smallest components and am slowly rebuilding it.

the motor has 107K on it and runs fine. Some day I'd love to have a 3.0 MFI motor done for it, but that day is far down the road.

What can I do with a $7K parts budget (give or take to get the job done) to make my little 2.0 a real screamer. And if it can't be done, that's fine too.

My interest was piqued with these heads. Would they work? what would you do with them?

Not an expert but those won't work unless you go to 2.2 P/C's you could do that and 70.4 crank and some 2.2 E p/c but I don't think you would really need twin plug heads but they are really cool!!

Tony -

Are you saying that 70-72 dated heads won't match up on a 69 2.0 block? Why is that, the head stud spacing is the same and the valve sizing at 46/40 is a bonus. The port size on the inlet would have to match the MFI or carbs, but that is a slam dunk for any shop when hand porting/blending In addition, the 66 mm crank can certainly be used in both applications. I have run these cranks in 2.0.2.2.2.4 and 2.7 cases with great results. What am I missing in your post, I am all ears..............

The stud spacing is the same the difference is the head gasket surface the 2.0 use a traditional gasket the 2.2 and 2.4 use the steel ring the reason I said what I did about the cranks is he could use the 70.4 crank and a set of 2.2E P/C's with the heads you have and could build a higher compression "E" motor.

2.0 heads are flat the 2.2 heads fit down onto the cly. they could be machined to work.....
