Exchangers #93021103300 - compatible with a 3.0 '82 SC, or not?
Hi,
Straight forward question, but am struggling to find the answer... Exchangers are from an '84 Turbo 930, Euro. Suitable for an '82 SC? Regards, Simon |

Simon, I think it depends on how you define "suitable".
930's had small ports (for off-boost torque, IIRC). Early SC's had big ports, not sure what size the later SC's had - I think they're still bigger than 930 ports. That said, the 930 H/Es and the 3.2 ones are the same part, I think. I think that they will very likely physically fit just fine (I have a set leaning against my garage wall right now if you need any measurements), but they may not be optimal - how well they work may depend on any other changes to the SC motor..

82 sc has the same size exhaust port as a 930

I don't really know but since the 930 has a turbo and the SC doesn't I can't imagine the exhaust would be compatable. If you physically look at them and verify the geometry is the same then they should work since the port size and spacing is the same. The SC uses 1.5 inch primary tubes and I suspect the turbo uses the same.

I always thought they were the same and they do look the same but the Pelican parts book shows 2 different part numbers.
