What does the torque measurement mkp translate to?
My Porsche tech specs booklet lists torque settings in mkp. how does that relate to nM or foot-pounds? Thanks, Russ

Russ,
There is a note at the front of later spec books stating that for shop use, the factor of 10 is used to convert from kilopond to Nm, but the actual factor is 9.81. Alloy lug nuts = 94 lb-ft, also 130 Nm ~ 13.0 mkp ... 130 x 0.723 = 93.99 lb-ft (72.3% of Nm = lb-ft) ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |
