930 ruf clutch experts needed
After asking this and rennlist's board's advise, I decided to purchase a Centerforce clutch/pressure plate and t/o bearing. My mechanic has attempted to install the clutch purchased at Windward (replaced the pilot bearing and crankshaft seal too) but cannot get the system to work. After checking with Windward several times, it seems that I have bought the correct parts but we can still not figure out why the clutch is not working. I have gone thru the tech article multiple times (the one on this site) but can't find anything that we're missing. We cannot get enough travel to engage the clutch. Can anyone think what we might've possibly forgotten. This is a 1985 Ruf 5 speed, which has the short bell housing if I'm not mistaken.

Try calling Winward Performance, they claim to know all about the RUF 5-speed.

Well, if Windward doesn't know ... try calling Centerforce! Or emailing, snail mailing ... whatever it takes!
