bumper conversion 84-89 carrera
I know that this has been covered and I've researched old threads but now I'm a little confused. I want to change my us bumperettes to euro bumerettes but am learning the the 84-89 carrera's have slightly different bumpers. Pelican seems to only carry the the Euro bumperettes for cars up to 1983. Is it possible to update to Euro bumperettes without changing the entire bumper? If so, part #?

The basic difference is that the rear valance is mounted on the bottom further to the rear of the car than on a 911SC. This is similar to the arrangement the turbos used. The bumperette for a Carrera or Turbo is a little shorter where it touches the valence, maybe 1/4 or 3/8th of an inch.

Pelican bumper

I hope that this link works. It took me a little while to find it but it looks like it is only for cars to 1983.

Bumper conversion
My 911 Cab,
I don't know where your located but I have an 80 ROW 930 bumper blank burried somewhere. If it would help you out I'd be glad to send it. If you shipped it Greyhound shipping would'nt be too bad. COLE cole930@mchsi.com 260-570-6914 |
