Saggy Arse fixed
Finally finished my project to fix her sagging arse. As I found during the removal process the right side of the left bumper guard was rusted out, hense the sagging. The right was also was beginning to rust. Holes filled with thickened epoxy. A little advice for future bumper projects. I learned this while building a sea kayak from cedar strips. Apply enough epoxy so it is just a little higher than the bumper. When the epoxy has almost hardened but is not fully cured use a scrapper & scrap the epoxy even with it. This will save you much time in sanding. Use the excess that's left on the cardboard or whatever you used to mix it on as a barameter.I kept the rub strips on to match the front bumper. The exhaust is an M&K single in/ duel out. It sounds SWEET. And it's not as loud as I thought it was going to be from reading posts. Although I fired it up in the garage and the wife said the lamp on the nightstand was shaking

How did you modify the valance to eliminate the driver side opening for the stock exhaust?

Mark, I did the same with my rear bumper, smoothed it all..What did you use for licence plate lighting?

Deshetlr, I actually modified the bumper extension, fabricated a piece from sheetmetal, fiberglass matting and epoxy. The valence is an aftermarket one made from fiberglass. It's a bit longer that the OEM piece but still to short to cover the opening. I have ordered a new bumper to valence seal. I'll use a piece of the old one to make up the difference on the drivers side.
Bob, I used lights from a Bimmer, not my idea got it from the BB. Part# 63 26 8 777 102, available from our host. Thanks Jim, you also have an excellent Turkey day!! (ever get the deck lid on?!) BTW... This all dropped 22lbs. from the arse, 7 each from the bumper guards & 8 lb. difference in the OEM muffler & the M&K.

Those look like BMW 2002 license plate lights. Good choice!
