SoCal Thanksgiving picture thread

Great turn out despite the foggy weather. I had a great time again. It's nice to see Pelicans in person from time to time. One little mishap, but we'll let the driver chime in on that. No was hurt and that's good.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Foggy drive to the meeting point.

Foggy drivers meeting.

Wayne actually took his 959 out in the fog!

Geetings Dave, fom "Dan in Seattle"! I'm up here visiting family for the weekend or I'd have been there this morning. Too bad, I would have loved to see the 959 in person.

Happy and healthy Thanksgiving to all the Pelican Pals and their families. Take care boys, Dan

Despite the "mishap" , this was one of the best fun-runs, EVER. Beautiful scenery and a great combination of sweeping turns, long straightaways, and twisties.

My thanks to everyone who made this event happen!

What an amazing morning!
The first leg was a blast: Dave B., Magnus, guy in the 996 Turbo (sorry, didn't get your name), Radu, and myself. I can't believe I even stayed close to you guys.

As for the "incident," I had the front row seat for that one. Yish! Wasn't really too bad though, and he was up and running shortly thereafter.

Post "incident" stop...

Radu's exhaust was shaking itself apart.
Here he is scavenging bolts from his car for a roadside repair.

Then we got lost trying to get back. Thanks to Tyson for guiding us back.

Uh yeah, I unfortunately got the chance to be the mishap this year. Anyway, I took a low sweeper a little too fast. The back end came out and tried to correct it. Ended up making a 180 into a bunch of branches. I'm fine, the car is "mostly" ok. Thankfully I didnt spin off a cliff or into another driver. As per the damage, there is a nice sized dent in the front driver side fender, thrashed chin spoiler with an augmented front valence, the driver side rocker is mangled pretty bad. All in all, everything came out ok. It drives just fine. Several other pelicans including Wayne helped me dig out my car and zip tie my chin spoiler so I could be road worthy. Now thats what I call good customer service, having Wayne himself come out and offer road-side-assistance. Pics soon to come.
