engine swap--need input

I have been looking back and forth between my new 71 roller and my soon to be 73 engine doner. There are two larger wire harnesses coming into the engine bay on my 73, one around the outside of the compartment and one right over the engine. There is only one in the 71, the one that runs around the edge of the compartment to the electricals in the back left corner. Im kind stumped on this as I do not want to drop the motor until Im sure of the needs that will have to be done. I stop there for now, any input will be very helpfull.
