Is there a tag on the car that lists the options that came with a particular 911? If not how you find that info

If the question is for your 85, then look in the trunk on the underside of the lid. You should see a paint code as well as some option numbers. It probably won't list what color interior or carpet, but should have a few options for sport seats etc. For the option decoder go to: http://www.kindel.com/porsche/options.asp

The only other way to check all options is to spend $100 bucks and ask PCNA for the factory build info. Half the time though, you are getting junk info. Find Wayne's thread on the Kardex for his 959 and you will see it was not helpful or correct.

Call 1-800-porsche...option 3 I think. Give them your VIN number and they will tell you your options. Monday thru Friday.

Not much info on hood of trunk-color code, engine, trans. Had read post on PCNA. Will give 800# a try.
