Wiper blade keeps flying off

OEM wiper arms on a 1970 911T and brand new wiper blades properly installed. Was using the wiper system today at the Hill Country Rallye and the passenger side blade keeps coming off. Had to zip tie the blade to the arm to keep it intact. Any experience on a good wiper arm and blade combo that will stay together?

Yeah. Me too. And last year too. It’s the mix of bumpy roads and the rain.

I was able to squeeze the loop together on the wiper arm and it has held up fine ever since.

Chances are, the plastic on the wiper blade has gotten abused from UV exposure and no longer grabs like it should.

I think the manufacturers have redesigned the plastic piece that connects the wiper arm to the wiper blade, and now it’s a looser fit. I should have kept all my old Bosch wiper blade connectors!

I make a reproduction of the original wiper blade by SWF... Hundreds (thousands actually) sold. Identical to OEM, with the exception of the SWF stamp on them.

I think they may still be available from our host as well.

Same here, a little squeeze about ten years ago solved my issue as well.

Not to HiJack but where are you all buying your wiper blades from? $50 seems expensive for some rubber and plastic. I realize this is a Porsche, but it's not like the wiper blade is a Porsche specific part.
