Oh no, in my year there is a electronic terminal with 3 connections the can be unplugged to disable the ICV.
If you have the ICV, it will be on the driver side, simply unplug it, adjust idle then plug it back in. |
I don't think unplugging the ISV is going to get you what you want.
Simply unplugging the ISV will let the internal valve go to a random position - it isn't spring loaded or anything. Jump the test socket with a piece of wire (see details elsewhere). This simulates closing (?) the WOT (wide open throttle) switch which in turn causes the DME (car computer) to use the map that ignores the 02 sensor and sets the ISV signal to the correct duty cycle for the test. -Chris |
see that is the problem for me.
I have been looking for the details elsewhere and just have not got my head around how to jump the test socket. what type of wire? how does it connect? sorry if these sound like stupid questions |

cool
tried that and the idle is steady sits between 1 on the tach and the line below, so i imagine that is around 880. next dumb question is regarding the CO setting using the meter to test off the o2 sensor. how do I check that? I don't know where to check the level |
I ask the dealer to check CO levels the said go to a smog check station to check CO levels. Hopefully the vets can post in, I think the dealer has lost alot of credit putting in Synth Fluid in my 915 Trans with LSD. Expensive lesson learned.

Not purposing to drive the topic off but since someone is talking about CO/CO2 level, does anyone know how much is at the acceptable level of o2/CO/CO2?
