B. Anderson School

Just wondering if anyone is planning on attending Bruce Anderson's class this December?

Rufblackbird and I signed up, but I'm hoping there will be enough students to hold the class.

I'm tentatively planning to attend as well. When I heard back from Bruce a few weeks ago, he said the class was about half full already, which sounds like good news.

Is this the engine class, or the tune up class? Got a link? I could do this.

Does anyone know if there are still openings in the the Dec 8th tune-up class? I have sent Bruce a couple of emails (via the link on the class schedule page) and haven't heard back from him...

I think he either doesn't look at his email very often or he is too busy answering tech questions from Excellence Mag. I have sent and received emails from him, but it takes awhile.
I found it is best to call him...much quicker!
Hope you can get in!

Thrlls,

Thanks for the suggestion. I talked to the man himself and I got into the class. See you in December!

What engines does the course focus on?

Did he mention where the tune-up class will be held this year? I'm new to Porsches, and I think I should go to this.

Does anybody do a class like this in the south east, i.e. Florida?

This depends a great deal on who is in the class. Jerry keeps things very simple. Last time I was there, the core re-build motor was a 2.2. If most of the students are fairly new to 911's, Jerry won't stray too far from his course outline until his current, (days) lecture is complete. He likes to stay on subject and on schedule. Very nice guy, with a wealth of experience and knowledge.

I have decided to "make" time for this as I could not make previous classes in the past. I'm only attending the tune up class on the 8th. The class will be held at Jerry Woods Enterprises, 491 McGinley Lane #1, Campbell, CA 95008. He has information that he'll send to you outlining all the hotels in the immediate area, Los Gatos and Campbell. The classes go from 9-5 (depending on who is in the class).

I also found out that the Carlyle Hotel includes breakfast.

Jon[/QUOTEThis is the reason I'm attending, totally new to Porsches.
I have most of the books, and reading them is one thing, but trying to imagine what I'm reading is another.
I signed up for all 3 classes, since there is nothing like this in the South West, middle of the Pacific.
The way I see it, if this class helps me to do just one major repair, it paid for itself.
Plus I get to meet others too!

Oh yeah man, couldn't agree more with all the points you just said... and on top of that, it's pretty much in my back yard It's a no brainer for me.

The only one I'll be able to attend is the tune-up one, i wish my schedule was more flexible.
