Looking at the tag.......is all jammed up....took 10 times the time to tape my own off then some one there did...and a fresh paint job always makes me ..want to look deeper. I would demand a paper trail

this car has been discussed on the early911s board and was on ebay some months ago. the build plate is certainly incorrect for the car and is not the one originally on the car when it was made. unfortunately the new auction does not have a picture of the build plate for comparison's sake. read some here though:
here is the part of interest: the "SC" designation is correct for genuine RS's, and the "fahrgestell nr" window should contain the entire serial number of the car, not just the last seven digits. instead of reading "360 1225", it should read "911 360 1225". notice also that the font used on the 3's is different. the ebay car (1225) has a rounded top, and the correct one should have a flat top. http://www.early911sregistry.org/forum/showthread.php?t=16083&page=2
