how do I find a carerra tail mounting kit

Anyone know where I can find a tail mounting kit?? looked all over and cant find anything!!

what I really need is the brackets used for the front of the tail, -I think there are 3 of them. The rest of it is just std screws an bolts, but I cant find anyone who sells these!!

help!

There is also a rubber sealing strip (which I have and is willing to sell you for cost+shipping) that goes between the tail and the engine lid. Have you checked with the dealer parts department for parts? PM me if interested.

There is also a long mteal strip (reinforcing strip) that the rear bolts go through.

I can't help you with a "kit" but all of the parts are shown on Pelican's site. Look up the diagram for the rear spoiler for a Carrera and order the individual parts you need. Easy.

By the way, it always helps to know what year (car, tail) you're talking about. Even the little piddly stuff changes from time to time. Believe it or not, some of the stuff you are looking for changed during the Carrera production run.

There are actually 5 brackets - 3 of one PN, and each of the other 2 are unique PN's.
I used PET to come up with my own list of Porsche PN's and metric hardware needed.
The bracket parts you need are:
qty 3 of 93051225301
qty 1 of 93051225700
qty 1 of 93051225800

By the way, my order for these items from Pelican is on backorder. These are the victim of the policy whereby PAG does not want to stock anything over here in the states. I'm waiting for them to show up from Germany.

If you don't already have them, there are 2 reinforcement brackets that you will also need that LM3929 mentions. They show on the Pelican parts breakout diagram as well. Oh, and the gasket too!

Thanks guys,

-and esp for the part 's, I'll be placing an order for "back-order" on these as well!

Nice to know that the OEM carerra tail changed over the years...I just picked up a new OEM base and lip during a sale from a local vendor, so I would guess that what I have is the latest-last version.

The two versions have different part numbers. The one used for the turbo and turbo-look Carrera cars has a 930 part number prefix. The one for the rear spoiler for the Carrera has a 911 prefix. There are differences in some of the little parts between the two versions, so if you bought the Carrera style tail and not the other one, there's only one part that changed over the years, the three small metal pieces that attach under the front of the tail. As luck would have it, Porsche superceded the early part to the later part so you don't have any choice to make there either.
