Do you have to replate bored-out cylinders?
I know that topics on boring out cylinders are plenty, but I couldn't find an exact answer to my question. I want to bore out 2.2L 84mm cylinders to 85mm. This is possible correct? BUT..do I have to replate them with nickasil? Thanks

If your cylinders are Biral (magnetic bores) , no plating is necessary. If they are Nikasil (non-magnetic), you must replate them after boring and honing.
