H4 left and right?
I just purchased a set of h4's. My restorer calls me and says that I have two right headlights. The seller claims that they are universal. The left doesn't fit. Seller (Vertex) thinks I'm crazy.
Is there a left and right H4? Will one side fit the other? Am I crazy? Don Darnel |

There are "right hand drive" and "left hand drive" H4's. This is based on the beam pattern as there is a wedge of light that covers the roadside away from oncoming traffic. I've not heard of left and right on the car. Though I haven't tried swapping mine, they look alike...

They are both the same. Interchangable.
The 'angled' pattern is on the car's right side for both lights. Same for Great Britain, interchangable, but their pattern is reversed from ours. |
