Guys,

This specific problem can also be related to dry, and\or rusted pilot needle bearings for the transaxle input shaft. If all/most of the moly has gone away ... the resultant rust buildup on the needle bearing rollers can cause a constant torque on the input shaft pilot area, and the reverse gear won't shift without grinding.

That's what I was getting at. Not beeing native english made it hard to point out. If I start the car with the clutch pressed I can shift without grinding in reverse. Also after a few miles the problem goes away/does not exist. Shifting isn't a problem during normal operating conditions and it's only at cold starts when it shows (below zero in celcius here right now).
If it were the oil beeing thick in the transmission, I would guess pressing the clutch would stop the gears from spinning sooner... Am I missing something here?
