Re-jetting 2.0 Webers for a 2.2?
I installed Webers from my car's original '66 2.0 engine onto the '70T 2.2 that's in there now. Do they require any re-jetting or other mods?

Rich,
I would re-jet them along the lines of what Richard Parr of PMO recommends for his carbs on 2,2 engines converted from MFI. See also here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/attachments/porsche-911-technical-forum/4327d1026137468-still-about-weber-jetting-heres-mine-gotta-ask-carb-examples.jpg

John,
Thanks for the reply! I'm not sure I understand the link though. Are those set-ups the fixes for the "results"? Or were the "results" the results from those set-ups?

waddya got now for jets? 27 venturis are a tad small. 30 is the next size up. the original 0.45 or 0.50 idle jets need to be replaced with 0.55 for today's crappy fuel, or hard starting, spitting/popping and poor transition will result. 2.0 mains were around 1.25 or so. may work, but see how it runs and see if it pulls decently to redline or flattens out. you can also go a bit smaller on the air correctors to get the mains to flow more fuel at higher RPMs, or leave them alone and go up 0.05 on the mains. numbers stamped on the jets may not be correct as many have been drilled oversize, so a set of jet gauges are a good idea.

Right now it's got:
Idle jets - 55 Mains - 125 Air correction - 180 Emulsion tubes - F26 Venturis - 30 What it's doing is popping and spitting and won't idle, especially at start up. It runs great once the rpm's are up.
