Question Speedometer wiring

I recently disconnected my speedometer wires and unfortunately, was distracted before re-connecting them.

After re-connecting them, I find that the odometer and lights are working properly but the speedo isn't, so apparently the sender is OK. Is this just a coincidence that the speedo "went bad" or were the wires re-connected improperly?

The speedometer has on the rear three spade lugs together, with a fourth a slight distance away. I have green on #1, brown (actually two connected browns)on #2, #3 empty and red on #4.

Is this correct? Thanks for the help.
