Refreshing the suspension and lowering was high on my list untill.....................my clutch broke about a month ago, and I had to spend an unexpected $2k (and that parts only) to get it back on the road.
So when the funds are available to buy bushings, ball joints and tierods I'll be Lowering to Euro height.

Very cool man.. Have a 78 Targa sitting around that looks like the twin to this one. Picked it up as it needed some TLC.. and thinking of changing out the stock 6" & 7" wheels before I cut it loose to a friend of mine.

Though I've seen it around on a thread somewhere... can somebody post the contact info for Rota Fox.

Thanks

You have the same size tires as Moses, and 225s in the front are at the max (IMO), so how much you lower your car is important.

Moses could tell you what height to lower it to. He should know best!

I had my car lowered before I put on my Rota Foxes and my 215/45/17s in front rubbed on my front right wheel well lip at one point, but my front measurement is 24.25"...just a little lower than I wanted. My old 205/55/16s were OK at 24.25 ", but too low for the 215/45/17s. The car looks really cool at that height, but I had to roll my front wheel well lips up and out of the way just a little.

Here's what mine look like. No rubbing, even on the track.

Don't SC's and Carrera's have identical flares?

A better question is what BRAND and MODEL 225 width tires do or do not rub. We know the wheel offsets are the same, what other variables are there? Just because it says "225" on the sidewall doesn't mean that there's not some slight variation between brands.
