How tight is your injection pump belt? My pump is all the way over and the belt still seems pretty loose.

you may have worn drive wheels. generally with toothed belts, the adjustment is ok if you can twist belt 90 degrees reasonably easily at midpoint between wheels.

So I don't know if this is true, but if the case is I can turn the belt past 90 degrees then something is too warn? I'm pretty sure it's a new belt.

Mack,
I have the same issue. My MFI belt seems looser than I would like it, but as far as I know it has never "jumped" time. Plus, those pumps are really hard to adjust laterally when trying to tighten. Have you ever seen the turnbuckle type bolts on the RSR pumps? They attach to the top rear of the pump and then angle down to some point on the engine cover. I would like to have a setup like that, but have never seen the details in person. ------------------ John 73 911S |

you could turn the belt 360 if you twisted hard enough. 90 degrees with some resistance is acceptable.

I forget what the actual spec is, maybe 1/4 inch deflection at mid point. No one trys to achieve that?
